Hermanos, me complace mucho inaugurar la sección de Reseñas del Tío Makabro y más hablando de la legendaria banda HELLOWEEN.
Hace poco menos de 2 meses HELLOWEEN nos sorprendió con su nuevo material, el cual se convierte en el décimo octavo de su extensa y exitosa carrera. Dicho trabajo lleva por nombre "HELLOWEEN" y no pudieron elegir mejor título, ya que regresan a grabar con la banda principal 2 músicos legendarios, Kai Hansen en la guitarra y voz y acompañando a Andi, regresa Michael Kiske, tal y como lo hicieron para su gira de "Pumpkins United".
Entrando de lleno al álbum, podemos comenzar hablando de la portada, que portada más hermosa y llena de referencias y guiños a la extensa carrera de los alemanes, como las llaves del "Keeper of the Seven Keys" o bien la portada del "The Time of the Oath".
El álbum cuenta con doce canciones que dan una duración de una hora con cinco minutos, podemos decir que es un álbum extenso pero para nada aburrido. La canción más larga es la que lanzaron como single (la cual dura siete minutos en la versión que salió como promocional), son doce minutos de música bien ejecutada y con esta misma se cierra el álbum.
Desde que comienza el álbum te atrapa en una atmosfera que solo HELLOWEEN logra, esta lleno de momentos épicos y la producción es impecable, las guitarras suenan con gran potencia y las voces son claras pero, como era de esperarse, al ser 3 voces, una tenia que ser mas discreta y fue el caso de Kai, ya que su voz es la que menos presencia tiene a lo largo del álbum, pero su ejecución en la guitarra es perfecta.
¿Es la mejor obra de los alemanes?
Podemos concluir que no, no es su mejor trabajo, pero si esta dentro de lo mejor que han hecho en los últimos años, sabemos que las piezas que componen el álbum se convertirán en himnos para las masas ya que nos hacen querer levantar los puños y entonar los coros.
No hay algo negativo del álbum, pero no podemos no entrar en "¿es lo que los fans esperaban?" y la respuesta de su servidor y del Tio Makabro es que si, si es una gran producción, es un álbum memorable pero con ciertos cambios, no podemos esperar un "Walls of Jericho" o un "Keeper of the Seven Keys" ya que han pasado más de 30 años del lanzamiento de aquellas obras maestras, la producción, la música y las personas cambian, así que si esperan algo igual a las obras clásicas, no estará en este trabajo, aunque claro, están presentes las influencias del pasado y la voz de Kiske te trae buenos recuerdos y la nostalgia del HELLOWEEN de 1987.
Por mi parte es todo, la verdad es que es un álbum muy recomendable, que se disfruta y claro, era de esperarse algo así de una de las bandas más emblemáticas del metal y la más importante dentro del Power/Speed (por algo los nombran los padres de Power).
