LEPROUS es esa banda que se ha convertido en las favoritas dentro del progresivo, con 7 trabajos de estudio han hecho una carrera solida e importante, como olvidar su obra maestra "Bilateral" de 2011, pero como muchas bandas tuvo su momento de quiebre y fue en 2019 año en el cual sacaron "Pitfalls" álbum olvidable y con tiques de Muse o hasta Imagine Dragons.
Regresan con un trabajo fenomenal, yo creo que Ihsahn, cuñado de Einar Solber (vocalista, tecladista y compositor de LEPROUS) y más que su cuñado, un verdadero genio y maestro musical hablo con Einar para hacerle entender que LEPROUS es una banda, no es solo el, ya que el mayor pecado de "Pitfalls" fue la presencia tan sobresaliente de las vocales, como un Einar y sus trabajadores de fondo.
Hablando ya de "Aphelion" es un disco muy bueno, muy bien producido y, ahora si, hay una armonía total entre todos los miembros de la banda, dejaron de lado el metal, si, de hecho es un trabajo totalmente de rock/prog, pero muy disfrutable, tiene piezas de hermosa composición y la voz de Einar se mantiene perfecta, pero ya tiene toda una compañía musical que hace un ambiente melancólico en el álbum.
Es una obra muy buena, digna de una banda de este calibre, ¿mejor que "Pitfalls"? definitivamente, ¿el mejor de su carrera? para nada, pero si es un trabajo fácilmente disfrutable, lleno de pasajes melancólicos y progresivos a lo largo de sus 10 canciones que dan 56 minutos de duración.
Muy recomendable, de 8.5 a 9, retomaron el camino y lo disfrute mucho, escúchenlo si son fans del progresivo, les reitero, tiene toques mas progresivos y rock, el metal quedó un poco olvidado para LEPROUS pero no hace que el trabajo sea malo, al contrario, esta lleno de melancolía y música magistral.
