OLYMPUS, banda francesa que nos presenta su álbum debut "Gods" y como fan del metal y las mitologías puedo decir, que maldita belleza, una combinación acertada y casi perfecta.
Comencemos a hablar de la portada, es un trabajo hermoso, refleja toda la esencia de la antigua Grecia, la relación entre el hombre y su devoción por un Dios y todo el poder de los mismos.
OLYMPUS nos traen un Blackened Death Metal de gran calidad, tecnica y brutalidad, el trabajo consta de 12 canciones, que nos dan una duración de 53 minutos, 12 canciones, 12 Dioses 12 brutalidades.
Musicalmente es un trabajo muy bueno, con ciertos detalles como momentos de mucho poder, toda la potencia del Death Metal y esa aura obscura que logra el Black Metal, una gran producción.
Cada canción, o bien, cada Dios tiene lo suyo, fue algo que me pareció muy acertado y de mucha calidad por parte de la banda, ya que por ejemplo "Poseidon" es un track lleno de fuerza y elegancia, digno del señor de los océanos, pero después escuchas "Hades" y es un desenlace perfecto al disco ya que como todo buen señor de las tinieblas, se presenta una canción melancólica, obscura pero sin perder su imponencia, excelente trabajo.
En conclusión, es un trabajo que disfrute en su totalidad, esa temática de Dioses y mitología Griega me dejaron cautivado, no hay punto malo, no hay detalle negativo, tal vez solo el hecho de que no hay gran experimentación o nuevos horizontes, pero no siempre debe existir esos detalles para que el trabajo sea bueno, es un Black/Death Metal clásico pero de gran calidad, hecho con ganas, pasión y fuerza, lo cual se agradece y aprecia mucho cuando una banda hace lo que sabe hacer y lo hace con cariño.
Es, sin dudar un estupendo 9, disfrutable, y hay que escucharlo más de una vez para poder encontrar cada detalle.
