VIROCRACY es una banda alemana que escuche por primera vez en el 2020 con su álbum debut "Irradiation" y me pareció una maravilla, actualmente sacaron "Ecophagia" el pasado 25 de marzo del presente año y hoy hablaremos de él.
Los alemanes nos presentan un Death Metal Progresivo con toques muy Técnicos, les puedo hacer spoiler y decirles que es una obra fabulosa, llena de detalles que no podría describirlos al 100% ya que están haciendo un Death lleno de poder, y algo que me parece muy destacable es ese mezcla tan homogénea que logran, por que en ciertas ocasiones suenan al Death más old, pero después se escucha un Death más moderno y queda de maravilla.
La producción suena excelente, todos los instrumentos quedan bien colocados y se escucha cada detalle , cada riff, cada línea de bajo, la batería suena de maravilla y brutal y la voz, que voz tan bien colocada.
El trabajo cuenta con 9 canciones que nos dan una duración de 49 minutos y mucho, pero mucho poder.
La voz de Anika es muy buena, es muy colocada y me parece que es de esas voces y mujeres que están en una banda de Metal por gusto, por amor al género, no por dar una imagen, ya que el trabajo lo hace bastante bien, en ocasiones logra adornos o formas de cantar con muchas dinámicas, no sólo en su voz más gurutal, si no, en todo el trabajo vocal hay dinamismo durante todo el disco.
El trabajo en el bajo es muy bueno, en algunos paisajes se podría decir que es sobrio, pero hay muchas líneas destacadas y muy bien ejecutadas.
Los riffs son potentes, rápidos cuando deben serlo y unos solos muy técnicos, y por último la batería es excelente, el baterista es de sesión, pero debería considerar quedarse de base en la banda, ya que lo hace de manera magistral.
Sin duda, un 10 sin cuestionamientos, candidato a uno de los mejores trabajos del año.
